On the west side
of the beautiful mountain city of Asheville, NC is a local body of believers in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at Starnes Cove Baptist Church.
We are founded for the purpose of serving the
kingdom of God in our community according to the teachings of the
scriptures. We seek to provide a warm and caring fellowship in what
can be a cold and cruel world. It has been said that we have a very
encouraging congregation.

The
Mission of Starnes Cove Baptist Church is to worship God, to bring
people to Christ and into a loving fellowship of believers, and
to disciple them for service and ministry to others.
Our
mission is to carry on the work of Jesus who said:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor.
He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are downtrodden,
[19] To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. - Luke
4:18-19
We
are a mid-size congregation, large enough to provide ministry for
all age-groups, but small enough to know one another and be known.
We are members of the Southern Baptist Convention, NC Baptist Convention,
and the Buncombe Baptist Association.
