“Do not let anyone look down on you because you’re young. Instead, set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, and in purity.”

About CrossTrainers

Our CrossTrainers youth ministry is for anyone from 6th grade through the 12th grade. We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 8:00, and Sunday mornings for Sunday School, from 9:45 am - 10:50 am.

As a church, and as Christians, we value every individual in our youth group, and we do not take investing and pouring into their lives, lightly. The youth is the future of the church. Not only that but we know that middle schoolers and high schoolers face a lot of challenges in their day-to-day lives, both in school and sometimes at home. At CrossTrainers, we want you to know that we are here to help guide you, help you find refuge in Christ, and help you learn to put your trust in Him alone. If you are in middle school or high school, we would absolutely love for you to visit us, and bring a friend (or 5!) on a Wednesday night or Sunday morning. Join us for worship, fellowship, life-changing discussions, and a great lesson.

We also go on lots of outings, such as snow-tubing and putt-putt, and hold fun events to help strengthen your relationship with Christ, and to fellowship with one another!

“I started coming to Starnes Cove in 2010, with a friend that would come to church with her grandfather on Wednesday nights. I just so happened to come home from school with her on a Wednesday afternoon one day, and of course, we were going to church. I hadn’t been involved in a youth group for a year or so at that point and was missing the fellowship and being involved in student ministry, so I was excited to get to visit Starnes Cove that night and see what it was all about. When I got there, I didn’t realize how many people I already knew from school. I had such an incredible night, my very first visit there, and I’ve been a member of Starnes Cove ever since. In my 13 years of going here, I’ve met my husband, who actually grew up in this church, along with my absolute closest friends. I can easily say that being deeply involved in CrossTrainers throughout my middle school and high school years made such a substantial and unforgettable impact on my life, and more importantly, shaped my walk with Christ. Fast forward a few years, and I’m involved in many ministries within the church, help with the social media and website, and recently became a deacon’s wife! am truly blessed to be a part of the ministry here at Starnes Cove, and I credit all of that back to my years in youth, and God, of course!”
