Thank You, Billy, for 49 Years of Faithful Service As Our Music Director!
We are deeply grateful to our friend, and recently retired Music Director, Billy Woody, who has faithfully served Starnes Cove Baptist Church as our Music Director for nearly five whole decades. Billy has always been more than just a leader of music— he's been a reliable friend, a helper, and a true example of someone who serves the Lord wholeheartedly.
Anyone who knows Billy knows he has the biggest heart. Whether it's lending a hand to someone in need, working tirelessly on projects both inside and outside of the church, or simply sharing a laugh, he is always there and we sure will miss him as our Music Director. His sense of humor always keeps us smiling!
Billy’s musical talent has been a true blessing to our church, and we’ve been so fortunate to experience his dedication firsthand every Sunday. Beyond his work, Billy’s love for life– including his favorite meals from Apollo Flame Bistro– always reminds us to enjoy the simple pleasures.
Billy, thank you for your hard work, humor, and unwavering dedication to the Lord and to our church. We are so grateful for your service and pray for God’s blessings as you enjoy this well-deserved retirement!

Please join us for a special Retirement Reception honoring Billy. The drop-in reception will be on Saturday, Oct. 19th, 2024, from 2 - 5 PM, with a special presentation at 3 PM featuring guest speakers & refreshments. This is a great opportunity to express our gratitude for Billy's many years of dedicated service.
