About Cove Students
Cove Students meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, and Sunday mornings from 9:45 AM - 10:50 AM.

Our Mission: We exist to worship God and abide in a loving relationship with Him. We are to live in Biblical community and be disciples who make disciples for the Kingdom of God.
​
Our Vision: A place for all students from 6th to 12th grade to abide and belong for the honor and glory of God.
Doing Life With You
At Cove Students, we want you to know that we are here to help guide you so that you will find refuge in Christ. We believe the most important part of a Christian journey is to abide in Christ, and that becomes easier when you're doing life together.

We also go on lots of outings, such as snow-tubing, bowling, and putt-putt, and hold fun events to help strengthen your relationship with Christ, and to fellowship with one another!
"I started coming to Starnes Cove back in 2010 when a friend invited me to a Wednesday night service. I hadn't been part of a youth group for a while and missed the sense of belonging. That first visit was amazing—I saw familiar faces from school and felt right at home. Now, after 13 years, I've met my husband and best friends here. Being part of the Cove Students youth ministry during my teens truly shaped my walk with Christ. Fast forward to today, I'm now involved in various church ministries, handle the website and social media for Starnes Cove, recently became a deacon's wife, and now I even work for the church. It's all thanks to those early years and God's guidance."

Partnering with Parents
An important part of Student Ministry is partnering with parents. We want to make sure that we are walking alongside you in raising up disciples who make disciples.

We believe in actively communicating with parents and keeping them connected, and informed with what is going on in our student life here at the church.
​
As parents, you have the most important job and we as a ministry want to make sure you are supported properly as you walk through this time in your family's lives.
Meet Joshua, Our Student Ministry Director
Hey, I'm Joshua! Originally hailing from Scranton, PA, I've been calling Candler home for the past couple of years. I'm a huge fan of sports and you can usually find me out and about, staying active during my downtime. I'm happily married to my wife, Jensyn, who's a true local here in Candler, having grown up and graduated from Enka High School.
Ministry has been a passion of mine since I was 18, and I'm thrilled to be serving in my second Student Ministry role here at Starnes Cove. I want to personally welcome you to Cove Students, and we'd love to have you join us on a Sunday morning or Wednesday evening, or at one of our many events! We've got a great group of fun students who love the Lord, and as you can tell from the photos below, we have fun at the same time! Come join us!
